Its tent-like cabins come with a king bed, ensuite bathroom and a private balcony with mountain views. Spend your time in the area cross-country skiing, ice fishing or lounging by the fire in the main lodge.

The restored trailers at this resort, located about an hour from Portland, date back to the 1940s. There are 35 trailers total in 23 unique styles, including a 1958 Oasis that is perfect for a couple’s retreat, and the 1956 Spartan Royal Mansion, which is spacious enough for the whole family. Bonus: the Willamette Valley’s many wineries are a quick drive away.
