Fresh fruit and vegetable juice is a foodie craze that’s taken off in the past few years, with juice bars popping up around the country to offer their own take on fresh juice. Here are a few of our favourites.

Cru Juice, Calgary

Each bottle of Cru juice contains between two to five pounds of fresh, non-GMO fruit and vegetable. This cold-pressed juice spot opened in Calgary’s Bridgeland neighbourhood last summer and is a local favourite. For a boost of nutrients try Cru’s signature #GreenJuice with kale, parsley, granny smith apples, lemon and ginger.

Juice Truck, Vancouver

The Juice Truck started out as a truck but this booming juice business became so popular, the owners opened a storefront and café in the city’s Mount Pleasant neighbourhood. Aside from the cold-pressed juices, the store serves up delicious smoothies and other healthy snacks. We say try The Patio juice—blueberries pressed with pear, lime, mint, coconut water and aloe vera juice.

Juice Press Inc., Halifax

Juice Press Inc.‘s waterfront location in Bishop’s Landing is Halifax’s first shop dedicated solely to cold-pressed juice. There are a variety of juices to choose from, and seasonal blends are added regularly, but a sure bet is the energy-boosting Wide Awake juice with apple, beets, carrots and red pepper.

Pulp Kitchen, Toronto

Toronto has an abundance of amazing juice bars but we especially love long-time favourite Pulp Kitchen. This veggie-lover staple has been serving up fresh juice for nearly 15 years. Get your skin glowing with Pulp’s Skintastic juice made from carrot, lettuce, green bean, apple, ginger and lime.

Rejuice! Nutrition, Montreal

The “original” Montreal juice company, Rejuice! was started in 2011 by former personal trainer Joanna Barcessat. Now boasting two locations in Montreal, this local favourite serves us a wide variety of vegetable and fruit juices and smoothies. Try the Rejuice Julep with oranges, coconut milk, vanilla and maple syrup.

Thrive Juice Co., Saskatoon

Thrive Juice Co. has been serving up delicious cold-pressed juice out of its food truck and stand at the Saskatoon Farmers’ Market and next month, the popular juice company opens its first storefront. Located in Riversdale, this shop will claim the title of Saskatoon’s first juice bar/raw café. Try one of the signature “raw lattes”—cold brew espresso with house-made almond milk with almonds, vanilla, dates, & Himalayan salt.
