Belmont Park

Old school fun that doesn't go out of style

Claim to fame

Nestled next to Mission Bay’s beachfront boardwalk, this vintage amusement park exudes pure nostalgia and relaxation. Traditional rides, palm trees, cotton candy, henna tattoos...oh yeah, and free admission.

Thrills for teens

The wooden Giant Dipper Roller Coaster may date from 1925, but its banked turns and twisting drops still elicit screams today. The 2,600-foot-long, 73-foot-high brainchild of designer Frederick Church is an American Coaster Enthusiasts (ACE) Roller Coaster Landmark. Some teens ride it all day long.

Fun for wee ones

Don’t miss the colourful Liberty Carousel, with its traditional organ music and delightful menagerie ranging from an ostrich to a cat carrying a fish.
